About Me

Lizzel, a compassionate therapist and clinical social worker, specializes in supporting individuals through life’s challenges by creating safe, healing spaces. With extensive experience across diverse settings, she is skilled in working with trauma survivors, children, adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, and Spanish-speaking clients.

Lizzel Barragan, MSW became a therapist to support individuals in navigating life’s challenges and to empower them to live fulfilling lives. She is dedicated to creating safe spaces where individuals can work on healing and find a sense of peace.

With a background as a clinical social worker, Lizzel has gained experience in diverse settings, including nonprofits, community colleges, and community mental health programs. Her training includes working with survivors of gender-based violence and sexual assault, as well as trauma. She has experience working with children, adolescents, teenagers, adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, and Spanish-speaking clients.

Lizzel would be a good fit for clients because of her empathy, compassion, and ability to empower. She prioritizes providing emotional safety and building trust, enabling clients to express their vulnerabilities. Having worked with both adults and children, Lizzel is equipped to address various developmental stages and emotional challenges.
